Mosaics and Concrete

THE HEALING ART OF MOSAIC in concentration

Set aside your world of technology for a weekend and come experience the magic of an ancient art. Experience the healing involved in bringing broken parts together to complete a mosaic. Explore the play of light on a variety of materials. During this workshop you will learn the basic tools and techniques necessary for direct application mosaic, while exploring the Art of mosaic design. Plan to leave all the rules behind and just have fun while creating a nontraditional mosaic.

Most all supplies are covered in the cost of the workshop. Student needs to bring tile nippers (the lightest weight available), protective eye wear, and any broken parts or pieces (to include but not limited to, ceramics, glass, jewelry, stones, metals) they would like to include in a finished piece.
Please bring gloves, wire cutters and tile nippers if you have them.
