Beginning Pottery:  "Pots with Personality"

Creative exploration of textures and sculptural additions will be encouraged through frequent demonstrations and individualized instruction. Your personality will be evident in your pots as you learn to alter basic forms with methods such as stretching, faceting, carving, cutting, and embellishing with hand-made stamps and sculptural elements. All levels welcome, course fee includes 25# of clay, glazes, and firing fees. No experience necessary.

Tara J Belk is a local artist who loves teaching and encouraging creativity in others. She holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree with a concentration in painting & clay sculpture and has maintained a pottery studio in Trade, TN since 2003. Her work can be seen at  local galleries.

PLEASE NOTE: Most classes meet over multiple weeks. If space is available, instructors are often able to add new students at the second class of a multi-week class. Please contact Eric Reichard to inquire if you can join a class late. If a class is beyond the second class meeting, contact Teri Reddick to be added to the mailing list.
