Pottery: Independent Study with Instruction

Students should have a basic understanding of wheel throwing or hand building but students of all skill levels are welcome. The class is structured so that each student can work with the instructor or on their own to enhance their own skills and interest as well as for students mainly just needing a place to work. Class will run for 8 weeks. Students will choose from several stoneware clays, glazes, and Cone 6 oxidation, or for an additional cost of $25.00 they may explore the possibilities of Cone 10 high-fire reduction firing. Twenty-five lbs. of clay will be provided; additional clay may be purchased for $15 per 25 lb. bag. Everyone is welcome.
