B.R. Hoffman has always been interested in crafts, but discovered quilting later on in life. Now it is her passion, and she has made several hundred, nontraditional, "going with flow" quilts. Her use of color is wide open, and she loves using fabric to show motion and pre-motion. BR has a booth at the Watauga Farmers Market selling quilted goods, and has been a participant in many shows and competitions. She has also taught photo imaging quilts and the creation of wall hangings. Many of her pieces are on display at the Living Learning Center, including a 7 by 9 foot string quilt made by students, faculty, and staff at ASU, all who were first-time quilters.
