Introduction to Metalworking


This class will give you the basic skills needed to create a variety of functional and decorative metal objects. Topics to include, blacksmithing, sheet metal work, welding, and machining, as well as cutting, bending metal of various types. Discussions will be held to aid students in setting up their own small scale metalworking shop without breaking the bank. Students will have the opportunity to make a simple metal project over the course of the class. Many materials provided. (This is an six-week class) No previous experience is needed for this class. All levels welcome.
